Tawney Owl and Bluebell Wood

An original watercolour painting depicting a tawny owl flying low through a bluebell wood.
I often sketched in this lovely little wood which was near my home in West Norfolk. The tawny owl who lived there could be glimpsed sometimes snoozing in a high up tree but he only started hunting at dusk and by mid morning he would be asleep again. I have painted him hunting in the early morning and there is a faint pink glow to the background indicating the sunrise.
